Portable Speaker Rigid Box Packaging

The goal of the project is to create a shared musical experience by adding card games to the portable speaker packaging.
Graphics on the sleeve are redesigned to highlight the joy of sharing music.
A lighting feature is added to the product
The card games are made of recycled vinyl records. By following the instruction on each card, users can share songs that related to their personal stories and experiences.
Two drawers on the sides are designed to store the cards, the cable, and the manual book.

The packaging is inspired by vintage 45 vinyl records.
The front panel can be opened. With two pieces of manganites on the top, the panel can be snapped close.
The speaker is easily accessible, by pushing the speaker through the hole on the back panel.
Mock-up
Behind The Scene
This is my first mockup attempt, which is a two-level box. The first level has a part that can be turned into a stage for the speaker. The cards are pushed forward by a spring in the back and can be drawn with one hand.
However, the size of the box became quite bulky.
